In Ibiza, Ornaghi & Prestinari Launch a New Collaboration

Parra & Romero presents Giunti (Juntas) in Ibiza, the first solo exhibition by the Italian duo Ornaghi & Prestinari at the gallery’s space. The exhibition marks the beginning of the collaboration between the gallery and the artists, opening a dialogue centered on themes of connection, balance, and the relationships between objects, materials, and individuals.

Based in Milan, the duo’s practice unfolds as an ongoing exchange between art, design, and architecture, with a particular focus on the relationship between craftsmanship and contemporary production. The works on view explore what binds and sustains—both physically and emotionally—highlighting joints and connecting elements that often remain unnoticed yet are essential.

Within this framework, the concept of the “joint” takes on both structural and symbolic meaning, resonating strongly with Ibiza as a territory shaped by the constant tension between isolation and connection. The exhibition thus reflects on coexistence and interdependence, understood not as harmonious states, but as dynamic processes shaped by balance, friction, and relationality.
